We create interactive experiences that help teams connect—not just listen

We have two Black History Month 60-minute interactive games in a virtual environment held on Zoom, hosted by Diversity Nexus.

Who Gets Believed? A Black History Month Experience on Power, Expertise, and the Perceptions of Credibility

When Black people name the truth, is it treated as expertise or opinion? Who Gets Believed? is a powerful, interactive experience that helps teams see how power, perception, and bias shape credibility, and how listening can become an act of equity.

Inspired by W.E.B. Du Bois’s The Souls of Black Folk, this 60-minute session blends storytelling, trivia, and sound to turn complex ideas about race and credibility into something participants can feel and practice in real time.

Teams journey through four engaging stages:

  • Listen – Hear historic and modern Black voices and recognize lived experience as expertise.

  • See – Explore how power distorts perception through fast-paced trivia on Black history, innovation, and excellence.

  • Believe – Match original Black truths with the voices who were credited for them.

  • Act – End with rhythm, reflection, and music from Black artists and leaders who remind us what equity sounds like in action.

More than a learning session, Who Gets Believed? is a mirror that shows how credibility is distributed by comfort, not always by competence, and how change begins the moment we start listening differently.

The Cozy Cafe. A Taste Through Time.

You and your friends have tickets to A Taste Through Time, a sold-out four-course Black History Month dining event at The Cozy Café. The café is buzzing in this 60-minute interactive session.

Teams go on a virtual culinary journey to the people, places, and moments that shaped Black history in North America.

The Menu

  • Course One – The Origins (United States)

The journey begins in 1926, with Dr. Carter G. Woodson and the creation of Black History Month — a movement born in the U.S. and embraced across borders.

  • Course Two – The East (Nova Scotia)

Freedom seekers, Black Loyalists, and Jamaican Maroons build new lives in Eastern Canada — carrying the memory of American enslavement and shaping Canada’s earliest Black communities.

  • Course Three – The Centre (Ontario)

The Underground Railroad leads north. African Americans fleeing slavery and their descendants form thriving settlements in Ontario — connecting the fight for freedom on both sides of the border.

  • Course Four – The West (Alberta)

From Oklahoma to Amber Valley, Black settlers bring Southern traditions to the Canadian Prairies — turning survival into celebration and community into legacy.

The Cozy Café blends food, memory, and storytelling to reveal how Black history moves — across borders, generations, and tables.
